I am a UK-based Product Designer, currenely in FinTech working on Financial wellbeing products. I am originally fromthe beautiful area of Caucasus Mauntains in South Russia, and my background is in education which includes teaching &mentoring, linguistics & translation.
Let me tell you my story!
Get in touchI moved to the UK in 2012 to complete MA in Teaching and then worked in academia for almost 5 years taking various roles in teaching, mentoring, faculty management, curriculum design, and product ownership. When later I transitioned to UX, I found how similar the processes of a researcher and a teacher are!
As part of restructure in the ed-tech company I worked at the time, we had to pivot and drive all efforts to our online products. As the result, our academic team naturally transitioned into product development, and my focus shifted to Feature Ownership, and User Discovery project where I led User Research. This experience felt like a breath of fresh air and I have not stopped being inspired about the UX since and decided to take a leap in my career to then fully transition int Product Design.
Having worked as a Product Designer in EdTech and as a freelancer for a few years, a natural desire to try something new led to me moving to FinTech. I currently work as a Product deisgner at Salary Finance, UK-based financila wellbeing service, where I craft user experience and overseee end-to-end Product Design for a standalone product in collab with key stakeholders and a dedicated squad.
Outside of UX, I find Flow in travelling & learning, shooting landscapes and lifestyle, retouching in Adobe Lightroom, running long distances with my favourite music, and connecting with friends in different parts of the world.
Lastly, below is some fun Art I create in my spare time inspired by important events of my loved ones and my travels :-)

It’s that sense of relief when your users discover that your product does the job for them.
It’s that sense of pleasure when they were able to use the product easily, intuitively and smoothly.

Through my background as a mentor, a teacher and a manager I developed empathy and storytelling skills, and thrive on leading my team to success. Additionally, as a translator and linguist, analytical skills and attention to details come natural to me, and my vast freelance experience helped me become a great project manager.
